Room Make Over

With the arrival of Ethan, we ran out of sleeping space. Kyrie has been co-sleeping with us since the arrival of Hallie. As for Hallie, she has been sleeping with Popo since 3 months old.

I’ll be back to work in two weeks time and need “rest” time, meaning no more night feeding for me. I need to move Ethan to Popo’s room. During my maternity leave, we embark on a “special mission” – Moving the girls to their own room. We decided to overhaul our current study room for the girls.

We been beds shopping since I was 6 months pregnant, but we were unable to find a suitable bed for the girls. The one that we like cost a bomb. The one within our budget look like shit.

Finally 2 weeks ago we found something within our budget and good. For the past 2 weeks, I have been cleaning all the storage and threw at least a few tonnes of “rubbish”. Managed to sell some electronic stuffs away at Cash Converter.

First night: When we off the lights, Kyrie started sobbing. She was sobbing so hard that it really broke my heart. I asked her if she wanted to come back to our room, she said YES. Deep inside, I was glad she still wants me. I told her to take her pillow and come over. Hallie on the hand was so happy she got her own bed. She felt asleep immediately.

Second night: Kyrie was trying to sleep but tossing and turning. Almost 11 pm and she told me, she’s not tired and didnt need to sleep. *Raised eyebrow* Needed to pat her till 11:30 pm and finally felt asleep. 12:30 am, came to my room and asked to go pat her. *Sigh* Went to my room around 1 am, but at 3 am she came to call me again. I got fed up and asked her to sleep with me. As for Ms.Hallie, she slept like a log.

Third night: Kyrie still cried. Popo has to accompany her n the middle of the night.
