Day 9 of School

Today is Day 9 of school but Day 6 for her taking school bus. Finally this morning, she didn’t cry and even went round chasing birds while waiting for the school bus to arrive.

We met our Indian neighbour and Kyrie greeted him. “Good Morning, Uncle. Kyrie go (goes) school.” When the bus came, she waved to uncle and instructed him to stop in front of  her. She did hesitated, but she did not cry. She boarded the bus and waved bye-bye to all of us!!

Good job, Kyrie Gal!!

Kyrie’s Progress After 1 Week of Pre-school

I need to record this down. I just received a call from Kyrie’s class teacher. According to her, Kyrie is progressing very well in school. Each morning, after she alighted from the bus, she would walk straight into her classroom with a smile and greet both her teachers.

Her teacher also mentioned that she’s very helpful with her classmate and always help them with their work and clean up after them. Hmmm….sound like a little kepoh to me!! Hehehe…

She even told her class that she has a little sister at home. Wahh….I hope she doesnt go tell the rest our “family secrets” as well. Hahahha…….as if we have any secret lah.

Each day I asked her if school serves any snacks, her answer is always no. The teacher told me they serve fruit and Kyrie always finishes her portion. Hmm.. wonder why she keep telling me there’s no food/fruit given and she keep complaining she’s hungry. Teacher asks me to try to pack a little snack for her to bring to school. Headache!!! What to pack leh??

Final note, Kyrie loves to go to the garden and plays with her friends.

This mommy is so happy after receiving the phone call. That’s my girl!!!!!

Day 5 in school

Kyrie woke up at 6:30 am on her own and sat on the bed side singing Twinkle twinkle little stars. Hahahaha, macam orang gila…

Gave her her milk and asked her if she wants to bring bread to school. Answer was, “I no like school”. I went ahead and prepare a butter sugar toast for her to bring to school.

Refused to brush teeth and wash up. Made alot of fuss and still dress up and wave bye bye to her sister. Again we went downstairs at 7:10 am even though the bus uncle told me he’ll be there at 7:20 am.  Less than 2 min, Kyrie complained stomach pain and she wanted to poo. I thought she’s bluffing me but thank God I brought her upstairs. Indeed she pooed and it was HUGE!! *LOL*

At 7:20 am sharp, the bus came and auntie was in the bus as well. She started crying loud and I have to practically dragged her up the bus and strapped her. She was still screaming and huge tears flowing. I quickly waved to uncle and asked him to drive off. Popo said mommy was very cruel. Maybe we should not send her to school at such a young age.

At 8 am my handphone rang and the caller ID showed “Bus Uncle” . I totally freaked out. I thought something has happened to her, but instead uncle just wanted to inform me that starting Mon, he will come at 7:50 am instead of 7:20 am. This will give her another 30 mins sleep.

I took the opportunity to ask uncle how she was faring. Uncle said the moment he turned out, she stopped crying. Children are like that. They will stop the moment the parents is out of sight.

Old Post Done by WSL When Kyrie was 1 Year Old.

Entry taken from http://e-lifesl.blogspot.com/

This entry was written 23rd Apr 2007.

Let me re-assure you that the world ain’t so cruel all the time. While some of our unfortunate fellow earthlings suffer from never ending war, riots, sudden massacre, poverty – there are still happy moments or rather some form of ‘victory’ over hardship, depression & sorrows. Although the ‘victory’ may not permanent, as long as there is life and faith, alot of us have strong hopes for a better & better tomorrow.

Little Kyrie was borned pre-matured more than 12 months ago. When her proud parents released her photos to us, tears flowed and hearts crushed when we saw the poor child so little so fragile and yet struggling to hold on to the new world that she had every right to conquer.

Together with her loved one, little Kyrie conquered the world. She fought sickness. She fought those painful pins & needles. She survived!

It’s been more than 12 months now..and..Kyrie claims that she CAN READ!

And…of course she can walk too…

So..what’s this thing I’ve been hearing about not having kids. More and more people have decided against having children. Some I heard recently thinks that there are too much suffering in this world..we do not need to contribute more beings to add to the sufferring.

Some thinks that the world itself is too pupulated. There are orphans everywhere…why produce somemore?

Some says that…we have kids before we asking them? Have we ever wondered if the kid wanted to be brought to this world?
So…

  • Do you think if Kyrie ever wanted to come to this world? Doesn’t she look happy?
  • Are you thankful to your parents fro bringing you here?
  • Or..do you hate your parents for bringing you here?
  • Have you been enjoying your presence here or do you wish you are never born?

The next time you think about giving up living….think of Kyrie..let Kyrie remind you on how precious LIFE is to her.

Gezzz…..now she look so different.  My tiny little baby is going to school now!!

Btw, auntie WSL…the balls that you bought me for my 1 year old birthday present is now my sister’s property. I think is time for you to buy me another pressie!!!! :P

Day 4 in school

1 word, tough.  Plenty of excuses when we try to wake her up at 6:45. She took her milk but started complained stomach pain.  Then took forever to brush her teeth and wipe her face.

Later on the way down to board the bus, she was mumbling, “I  no like school, I like home only. I only like to go Gymboree, I no like to go school anymore.” I pretend I didn’t hear any of these and ignore her.

Bus was already downstairs waiting for us at 7:10 am even though we were 10 mins earlier. Uncle strapped her up and she asked me if I’m going to board the bus with her. I said No and the drama began…..

Dehh…..dehhh………..Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh…………………like someone has just kidnapped another person’s kid. Some aunties and uncle who were exercising nearby came over to see what happened. She was crying so loud, until the bus uncle asked me to follow her in the bus. Damn!! I was wearing my t-shirt and short only. I havent even taken my shower yet!!

Papa quickly jumped into his car and followed us. In the bus I keep telling her she’s a big girl now and need to go school on her own. She just nodded. About 10 min later, the bus assistant boarded the bus with another student. I quickly told Kyrie that since aunty is here, mommy need to go now. Before she can react, I alighted from the bus. She was in shocked but aunty quickly sat next to her.

We followed the bus along the route to make sure that the uncle drive safely. Hehehe, kia-si parents. Along the way, I kept asking Papa to drive next to the bus, so I can peep at her. He refused. Bad daddy!!!!

I did managed to peep at her a few times and she seem alright. Not crying but looked dazed. Poor baby!!!

We stopped at the school compound but decided not to look nor get down. Must be firm!!!! I hope she’s doing ok and no more crying in school.

*Update at 11:45 am from home*

Popo called and said Kyrie has arrived home. She seemed very happy and kept waving bye bye to everybody in the bus. I really hope this “scene” will happen again tomorrow morning.

This photo is for my record. In case I forget the plate no

*Sidetrack*

Hallie was looking at us all these while wondering what the heck is happening to her family members. Why is everybody so dramatic !!!! Hahaha….All she did was practising her new skills, “wave bye-bye” non stop!! Hahaha..

Day 3 in school

Today I didnt take leave anymore and pass the baton to Papa. Told Papa to send her to school and lead her to her classroom and leave after that.

Papa called me and from the background I can hear Kyrie crying really loudly. She was asking for me and sobbing over the phone. I told her to look for her friend, Micheal but from the background I overheard the teacher saying that today Micheal didnt come to school. Oh no!!!!

I asked her to be strong and not to cry anymore. When I called back home around 11:30 am, the maid told me she’s home with daddy and happily playing.

Real test will be Day 4 where she will be going to school on her own. The bus will pick her up at 7:20 am.

Good luck,  Kyrie girl!!

2nd day of school

Yesterday was second day of school. Kyrie was still eager like the previous day. We left her in her class and went upstairs for the parents orientation. An hour later, the session ended and we headed back to the classroom.

I peeped through the window and saw her sobbing quietly. She dare not cry but her eyes were all red. The moment class was dismissed, she saw me, she burst into tears.

Teacher said one of the boy was crying and she started crying the moment the other started crying. Hahaha…..boy oh boy.

On the way home, she told me she doesnt like going to school anymore. “I like home only. Can watch tv”

My oh my!! Kyrie gal…..let see how day 3 goes.

Chinatown Robbery (3rd Jan 2009)

http://www.visitsingapore.com/publish/stbportal/en/home/what_to_see/ethnic_quarters/chinatown.html

picture from : http://www.visitsingapore.com/publish/stbportal/en/home/what_to_see/ethnic_quarters/chinatown.html

We went to Chinatown on Sat night, hoping to catch the CNY feel but instead my little Hallie’s got robbed. Someone cut off her anklet while Papa was carrying her. I was walking in front of them and could hear her scream in pain. I tried to turn around and look but it was too crowded; therefore, I pulled Kyrie aside and waited for Papa to catch up with us.

The moment Popo saw Hallie, she screamed, “Long long mm kin jor” Some idiot pick-pocket has cut off her anklet. It must be damn painful or else my little baby wouldn’t be screaming so loud.

May the idiot who cut off my baby’s anklet burn in HELL!!!
